Forced Matrix Compensation Plan Support

Simply a structure
A Matrix, or sometimes called a Forced Matrix, is simply a structure (genealogy tree) that has a limited width and limited depth. For example, a 3 by 5 matrix allows only 3 people to be located under you, and your matrix would only go 5 levels deep. If your matrix was full of people under you, you would have 3 on your first level, 9 on your second level, 27 on your third level, 81 on your fourth level and 243 on your fifth and final level. The total number of people besides yourself in a full 3 x 5 matrix would be 363. Firestorm® has other Matrix setup options in administrative configuration screens that your staff can also configure very quickly. For example, options are available for how the matrix builds, or how new enrollees fall into your matrix. The main attractiveness to a matrix is that those above you can enroll people who will fall into your matrix, thus helping you fill your matrix quicker – and more people in your matrix means more commissions.
The following standard Matrix features in Firestorm® explain how Firestorm will effectively and efficiently meet your MLM Software needs.
Web Office Login Area - Matrix Reports and Tools
Unilevel (or Matrix) Tree View Web Report
The Unilevel Tree View Report provides the option for distributors to pull their sponsorship or matrix genealogy report with a graphical view of the Matrix. With the Firestorm® language tables, clients can change the name of this report to a Matrix Tree View Report.
- Each level in the matrix can be configured as a different color and can be
expanded or collapsed. - Double clicking on any person in their tree will display a detailed spotlight
box showing important details about that person. Corporate staff can configure
the details that are shown in the spotlight box. - Multiple status codes are also presented to show commission qualified and
active/inactive as different colored graphical icons. - Multiple Matrixes can also be selected and viewed.

The Tabular Genealogy Report can also provide Matrix downline information in a spreadsheet format. The columns of data are configurable by corporate staff with many different data types available as standard options with Firestorm®.
- Data can be sorted by any column.
- Search fields are also available for entering column names, providing filtering
and then sorting of the filtered data. Multiple status codes are also presented
to show commission qualified and active/inactive as different colored graphical
icons. - Multiple Matrixes can also be selected and viewed.
Tabular Dashboard Web Report
The Tabular Dashboard Web Report can also provide Matrix downline information in a spreadsheet format.

range, enroll date range, name and leg number. - Distributors can hover over leg number on any level and that person’s name and
member ID displays. - Distributors can also hover over a person’s autoship indicator and the
commissionable volume amount will display.

- Corporate can define the structures to be presented and the max viewing levels
for each type. - Filtering options include a range of levels, name, sales rank, autoship,
personally sponsored and a detailed spotlight report. - The report displays a graphical view of the entire width and depth of the

- The same searching, filtering and sorting features are provided as the Tabular
Genealogy Report. - Multiple Matrixes can also be selected and viewed.
Matrix Administrative Features for Corporate Staff
Define the Matrix Characteristics
During initial system setup, companies can define several key aspects of their Matrix by using administrative configuration screens in Firestorm®. This eliminates custom programming charges and speeds up time to launch considerably. Any future changes to your Matrix can also be configured in the system, allowing companies to deploy changes with no programming.
- A quick database table entry allows the width and the depth to be configured for
the size of the Matrix. - An administrative configuration screen allows setup of how the Matrix fills from
enrollments. Choose a left to right fill or a Front Line fill (a spread fill). - Configure where a new Matrix will be created when the current Matrix is full.
Choose the same level as the distributor’s position at the top of their
currently full Matrix or downline (directly below the bottom of the full
Matrix).
Define Matrix Payout Levels
- In the admin side of Firestorm®, you can configure the number of payout levels
in the Matrix to meet your specific compensation plan. - Colors can be defined for each level that display in certain web and admin
reports.
Configure Compression for Matrix Commissions
In the admin side of Firestorm® you can configure compression for Matrix payouts. When a person is not qualified for a commission payout, compression allows the system to search upline (following the line of Matrix placement) for the next qualified person to receive the commission.
Adjust Matrix Payouts on Order Discounts
If you configure sales discounts for product orders, in the admin side of Firestorm® you can configure the system to equally reduce Matrix payouts that are configured as a percentage payout of the purchase price.
Customer Service Matrix Downline Viewing
In the admin side of Firestorm® your customer service reps have quick access to a graphical Matrix downline view.
- Reps can expand or collapse each leg, allowing drill down for viewing specific
areas of the downline. - Reps can sync the tree view to a specific person in the downline and quickly
return to the downline starting point. - Multiple Matrixes can also be viewed.
Configure Matrix Commissions
In the admin side of Firestorm® you can configure your entire Matrix commission payouts.
- Configure each sales rank with any number of payout levels, allowing deeper
payouts for higher ranks. - Percentages or set dollar amounts can be entered.
- As payouts can be configured for each product, you can configure different
payouts for seasonal products, contests, bonus incentives, and even have
different payouts for different countries.
Configure Matrix Check Matching Bonuses
In the admin side of Firestorm® you can also configure Matrix check matching bonuses. A matching bonus typically pays a matching percentage to the sponsor of the person who earned a Matrix level commission. Matching bonus can be configured on any level of payout for any sales rank, allowing total flexibility, including multiple level matching bonuses.
Generate Matrix Commissions
In the admin side of Firestorm® you can generate your Matrix commissions at any time with any date range.
- Companies can wait any time period after the month closes, as date ranges in the
past can be entered and Firestorm® will only generate Matrix commissions for the
orders that fall within the selected date range. - If dates are entered for orders that commissions have been previously paid, each
order is flagged as commissions-paid to prevent duplicate payouts.
Generate Matrix Checks
In the admin side of Firestorm® you can generate your Matrix commission checks completely separate from your commissions generation.
- Generate commission reports and perform detailed analysis of payouts before
generating checks. You can also generate check records at any time with any date
range. - If dates are entered for commissions that have been put on a previous check,
each commission record is flagged as assigned to a check to prevent duplicate
payments.
Claw Back (Reverse) Matrix Commissions
In the admin side of Firestorm® your staff can claw back or reverse Matrix commissions. This is helpful if you need to take back a commission for a certain person or order.
- Both paid and unpaid commissions can be reversed.
- An equal and offsetting negative commission amount will be created and clearly
defined as a clawed back commission when viewed by customer service or
distributors. - Your staff can also manually create a Matrix commission record at any time for
any individual.
Auto-Claw Back of Matrix Commissions on Voided Orders
In the admin side of Firestorm® when your staff needs to void orders, with one check box they can easily claw back or reverse Matrix and other commissions.
- Since Firestorm® provides product-based commission configurations, when an order
contains a product configured for a Matrix payout, the order ID is written to
the commission record. - Any commission record generated from any product in the order will automatically
be clawed back when selected to do so. - It does not matter where in the genealogy structure the commission was paid, nor
does it matter if the commission was compressed upline – the system will locate
the commission and claw it back.
Matrix Structure Maintenance Tool
In the admin side of Firestorm® your staff can move someone in the Matrix Structure Tree with just a few clicks.
- Pull up anyone’s downline, move any individual to the holding area, insert a new
position and place the held individual onto the new position. - All order and commission history is preserved and all moves are also logged in
the individual’s record.
Matrix Structure Move Tool
Firestorm® also provides a separate move tool so your staff can move an individual in the Matrix or move an entire downline. Enter a member ID to be moved, enter the destination member ID and click Move. All order and commission history is preserved and all moves are also logged in the individual’s record.
