Cloud Systems Vs. In-House Data Center.
Which System Is Best?
When it comes to your MLM software system, two choices often arise: do you put your MLM software in the cloud or do you store it with an in-house data center? These are both legitimate questions that many MLM businesses will face at some point or another during their careers. Cloud MLM software can be somewhat confusing and misleading, so let’s take a better look at it.
What is the Cloud?
The word “cloud” when referring to computing or technology, is not new information in today’s high-tech world. The cloud simply means the internet or data center. Another way to describe it would be to consider it as “virtual space” where internet users are connected worldwide and share information and files via networks. Cloud MLM software for computing means storing and accessing data and programs over the internet instead of your computer’s hard drive.
Why is Cloud Based MLM Software So Appealing?
Cloud based MLM software is appealing to many because getting started generally comes with an affordable price tag. Many “too good to be true” deals are just that – unrealistic pricing to entice your business into choosing system that is exponentially more expensive than it appears. And such is the case with most cloud based MLM website software companies that lead people on with cheap startup prices.
Once you’re locked in, they start tacking on charges leaving customers paying thousands more than they originally anticipated. Unfortunately, this is a common, real-life experience for many cloud based MLM software customers.
Cloud based software services will always contain escalating costs (which can rise dramatically) that are tied to your level of activity on your system. If your company suddenly grows rapidly, you must pay unexpected, large fees to the cloud provider in order to make your services keep up with demand. If you don’t pay the fees, your system will simply be overwhelmed and stop responding. An in-house solution is a better choice for your company, because our in-house data center and servers have the advanced capacity to meet your needs on demand. Upfront pricing with no escalating costs allow you to operate with a peace of mind that is simply not possible with a fee based solution offered by cloud providers. We will work with you closely to determine your needs in advance and will price our services accordingly, with no fee surprises.
Not to mention the extra benefits that one receives when partnering with an advanced software company such as Trinity Software. Trinity Software has invested over a million dollars into their own in-house servers and Tier-3 Data Center in order to better serve their clients. In house data centers are more affordable than cloud MLM website software providers.
So, What Are In-House Data Centers?
In-House Data Centers are server rooms located on an on-site IT network. They are managed and fully outfitted by the corporation’s IT department. It is housed at the company’s physical address and contains all of the cooling, bandwidth, security requirements, fiber optics, and power generation required. Additionally, it backs up cloud MLM website software systems by storing your data in a safe location.
One big advantage of utilizing an in-house server and data center over MLM software in the cloud is fast solutions to problems. When a problem occurs, having your own data center means we can fix your problems immediately.
Which One Has More Power?
While some MLM cloud software companies run respectable software and servers, they do not have the power or advanced capabilities of a professionally built data center. The power that an in-house data center has provides flexibility to do whatever you want. It allows different options such as a three server stack-dedicated, shared platform, or load-balance web farms.
Hands down, data centers are significantly more powerful and providers users with more control. This also plays a vital role in large MLM businesses that need an advanced compensation model for employee commissions. In the end, an in-house server and data center is the clear winner.
So, What Can a Data Center Do That MLM Cloud Software Can’t?
There are many features that an in-house data center can offer cloud based software isn’t capable of providing. For example, does your MLM software in the cloud provide affiliate tracking? Affiliate tracking allows both MLM businesses and employees to properly track commissions, business relationships, and receive payments on products sold. MLM cloud software companies generally charge extra for these plugins, whereas with Trinity Software, you get that feature for free.

Ok, as we continue, one of the things we want to talk about is placing your system in the cloud versus an in-house data center that’s owned by your software vendor. So let’s talk about the cloud first. If you get on the website and you look at Microsoft as your, or Amazon web services – they have very low pricing up front. It’s anywhere from fifty to one-hundred and fifty-dollars a month for a “server,” but what we have found in our experience is that we have some clients choose to go with the cloud rather than our in-house data center and they discovered very quickly that to use the advanced capabilities that justify the cloud’s existence, there’s a cost for every single one of those. And it can be something as egregious as every time you hit the database on their server, you’re paying a fee for that, every time, ok? So if you have a very busy website, the good thing about the cloud is that it can grow dynamically, if you’ve paid for that service. But you’re expecting a one-hundred-and-fifty-dollar bill and all of the sudden you get a bill for eight or nine-thousand dollars, because you had a particularly busy month, and you’re not expecting it. That generally does not go down well.
So cloud is generally a very advanced option for very large companies. And basically what we did to fight, to combat that – we support the cloud fully. We have clients that use the cloud no problem. But we also have an in-house data center that we’ve spent millions of dollars on building a tier-three facility. Has fully redundant power generation, cooling, all of our networking paths are fully redundant, have full fiberoptic connectivity. So we can deliver everything the cloud can deliver for much, much cheaper. It also gives us the capability that if you grow to a point you need dedicated servers, we can give you that. If you grow to the point that you need a load balance web farm, we can give you that. You know, there’s a cost for it, but we can give it to you much cheaper than you can get it on the cloud. And our systems are fully fault tolerant, so if anything goes down, your data is fully backed up. We can get you back up and running very quickly. The in-house choice is the choice that you need to make.
